Advisors 40 years old and younger are the industry’s future, and NAIFA’s Young Advisors Team gives them the tools and resources to thrive. The 2007 NAIFA Convention and Career Conference, this Sept. 8-12 in Washington, D.C., will offer an excellent opportunity for YATters to network with their peers, get involved in YAT activities and participate in workshops and panel discussions aimed at helping them improve their bottom line. Opportunities include:
- YAT Meet and Greet: Take a break, relax and do some networking. Saturday, Sept. 8, 6 p.m. –7 p.m.
- 40 and Under Panel: Find out what it takes to succeed from the “Four Under Forty” advisors profiled in June’s issue of Advisor Today. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2:30 p.m.–3:45 p.m.
- YAT Educational Workshop: Brush up on your professional-development skills during this informational workshop. Sunday, Sept. 9, 4 p.m.–5 p.m.
- YAT Legislative Forum: This forum is designed specifically for young advisors to learn more about NAIFA advocacy, the political process and how it affects the industry and their business. Sunday, Sept. 9, 5 p.m.–6 p.m.
- YAT Roundtable Discussion: Young advisors share what’s going on in their state and local groups, get ideas to take home and learn some best practices. Monday, Sept. 10, 12:30 p.m.–2 p.m.
- YAT Happy Hour: The 40-and-under crowd is invited for a special offsite happy hour sponsored by YAT. Monday, Sept. 10, 9:30 p.m.–12 a.m.
