In 2004, Advisor Today published “Four Under Forty,” a feature that highlighted the careers and accomplishments of four successful NAIFA members under the age of 40. The response was overwhelming.
So we did it again this year, and even more people expressed their appreciation for this fascinating look at top producers with insights into how they became successful. How popular is it? Well, type “Four Under 40” into Google, for instance. Or take a look at our June archives at AdvisorToday.com and see the cover story as well as the lead web-exclusive story, with all the tips from young producers just like you!
We’re proud to feature our brightest and best, but now that this seems to be a recurring gig, we have formalized the process. So in June of 2006, Advisor Today will again feature four up-and-coming agents in “Four Under 40,” but we’re starting the hunt right now. And who better to tell us about the big achievers under 40 than our very own YAT members?

Candidates don’t need to be Million Dollar Round Table qualifiers, or have served on a NAIFA local or state association board. What we are looking for are young, well-rounded NAIFA members who can balance their work and home lives successfully, speak about their commitment to others, and follow through. All nominees must be under 40 years of age when the article comes out next June. And–here’s a catch–you can’t nominate yourself.
And there’s a little bit of paperwork involved. If you know someone you’d like to nominate, click here to get a copy of the “Four Under Forty” nomination form. Fill it out, and on a separate sheet of paper write a short paragraph or two (300 words max) that tells why you think this person should be considered. Feel free to include particulars, such as industry and civic honors, or specific accomplishments that make your nominee stand out.
