NAIFA, ITN Productions to collaborate on news-style program

Online program to showcase advisors’ role in reducing risks, protecting assets

FALLS CHURCH, Va., April 12, 2018 – In a unique communications partnership, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and international award-winning ITN Productions will produce a news and current affairs-style program investigating the essential role of financial advisors in helping individuals, families and businesses navigate complex financial choices to achieve their dreams and secure their future.

Faced with sluggish wage growth and rising costs to achieve desired lifestyles, now, more than ever, American households need sound advice from a professional who understands their needs and can provide advice to help meet their financial goals. Planning Your Future will be a positive, news-style program that delves into the financial demands that Americans face, and provides insight into how professional financial advisors are helping individuals, families and businesses across the nation make the right choices to reach their financial goals. The program will shed light on the role that NAIFA and its members play to reduce risks and protect assets, fund major expenses like college and retirement, plan their estates, provide employee benefits, and group insurance, and secure their future.  It also will highlight the training, networks, and resources that planners utilize to ensure the best experience for their clients.

Planning Your Future will be an in-depth, online program featuring interviews, news items, and sponsored editorial profiles of leaders and key organizations. Drawing upon ITN’s 60-year heritage and expertise in news gathering and storytelling, the program aims to communicate the important role that the financial advisor community plays to secure America’s financial future. The program will showcase the impact of professional financial planners on the quality of life for millions of Americans. Planning Your Future will be premiered at NAIFA’s Performance + Purpose conference which will take place September 13 – 16, 2018 in San Antonio.

“NAIFA members work in communities all across the United States with Main Street clients to help them reach financial goals and protect their families from life’s inevitable risks and uncertainties. It is our hope that Planning Your Future will share their success stories and encourage more Americans to utilize a NAIFA advisor,” said NAIFA CEO Kevin Mayeux, CAE.

Greg Melia, CAE, Vice President of Program Development for Industry News USA, said “We are thrilled to be partnering with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors to spotlight the financial security and success that can be achieved in consultation with a professional financial planner.”
